4 Tips for Responding to Reviews

image showing four out of five star reviewsDo you have a business where folks might write reviews (either on Facebook, Yelp, your website, etc.?) Here are some best practices…
1. Respond to every review (good or bad)
2. If the review is negative, thank the person for sharing their experience, and assure them that you will address their concerns. Consider inviting them back, to give you another chance, as your guest.
3. If the review is positive, thank the person for sharing their experience, and engage them e.g. “What was your favorite part of …” this engagement will help boost your SEO. You might want to also ask them to take the time to write a review elsewhere (perhaps on Yelp if they have written a review on Facebook).
4. NEVER offer someone a thank you “gift” in appreciation for a good review. This discredits the review (and you!).
